This kinda makes a lot of sense? Vet presence, make the cap floor, retire Gio as a Flame, not going to push us to be too good…who says no?

I think Giordano would take the Leafs or Oilers first. He wants to win a cup. If no options, I’d think he’d return to Calgary.

Love me some Gio, I think he’d be a good cheap and flippable deal. Ideally, I’d take him on a cheap one year. Get him to 1,000 games as a Flame then ship him to Colorado for a future then have him go on to eliminate the Oilers and win the cup then make the Hall.
If he signs with the Oilers his name will be mud and I’ll never cheer for him again. That would be a deep betrayal.
Leafs is fine. He’s from there. He’s played there. I think the more he sticks with them the more it helps his HHoF chances too.
