How One Play Led To 20 Years Of Losing For The Pirates

  1. This play didn’t lead to the next 20 years or beyond. Cheap ownership did. Even if Bream was out, the game was already tied. Even if the Pirates win that game and then win the World Series, ownership would still be what they are. Also, too many fans like to act like Bonds is the reason the Pirates lost. They conveniently forget everything else that transpired that inning. Was Bonds pitching? Did he commit an error at 2nd base that opened the door for a big inning?
