[Yankees] Prior to today’s game, the Yankees made the following roster moves:

• Returned RHP Clarke Schmidt (#36) from his rehab assignment and reinstated him from the 60-day injured list.
• Returned RHP Ian Hamilton (#71) from his rehab assignment and reinstated him from the 60-day injured list.
• Designated RHP Phil Bickford for assignment.
• Designated RHP Nick Burdi for assignment.

  1. Burdi is surprising but also not really? The injury concerns are very real and he was also massively over performing his FIP

  2. Poor Bickford. He had the best relief appearances for the Yankees in a couple of games and then got DFAed. (He still sucked, it’s fine)

  3. I thought Burdi was one of the arms we were waiting on?

Hope Hamilton is useful. He had been kind of not great for a while before this IL stint.

  4. I will honestly never believe that Duke Ellis is a better candidate than The Martian. We are living in clown world with this front office.

I won’t be gas lit by these fucks.

    Insanity

  5. So the Yankees still have five players on the 60-day IL: pitchers Brubaker, Loáisiga, Poteet, and Trivino and position player Berti.

I’d like to see Poteet back but not sure if there’s a roster spot available. They probably want to keep Mayza to have a second left-hander in the bullpen.

It’s really a shame that Loáisiga hasn’t been able to stay healthy.

  6. So stoked that Clark and Hamilton are back… but I got hyped for a second, until i remembered Verdugo his a nothing single yesterday
