If Aaron Rodgers repeats his WORST career passer rating of 91.1 in the 2024 season it would still be the 5th BEST passer rating of a NY Jets QB in franchise history

  1. Just to get ahead of any nitpickers I’m referring to any season Rodgers had more than 20 passing attempts so not his first 2 seasons or obviously last season. Also should note that the avg. passer rating in the spreadsheet is the average of all QBs in that season who had 100+ pass attempts.

  2. During one of the last one jets drive youtube videos they showed Rodgers and Wilson connecting on a touchdown. Afterwards Wilson was talking to him surprised he threw it on target so early in the route. Rodgers nonchalantly said “yeah, I still got it” in a tone like “it was only my Achilles I’m still an amazing passer”.

If we keep him upright I think we’ll be very good during the regular season, especially with a defense we’ve never seen play with a lead. I don’t, however, think Rodgers will be able to scramble much so come playoff time or if our line gets hurt we may be screwed.

  3. Chad P was damn good. Too bad he got hurt all the time! Could’ve had 12-15 good years for us.

  4. Shit I never noticed that Zach Wilson was on an upward trend, I know the entire locker room would have imploded if we stayed with him at QB1 but Stockholm syndrome is going hard here

  5. “If Aaron Rodgers repeats his worse career passer rating, he is only slightly worse than 2017 Josh McCown.”

I’m not sure this is the gotcha you think it is lol.

  6. Is this Relevant? No.

But reminder, Namath had over 4,000 yards in 14 games.

All eras are different, so I don’t know how you compare passer ratings when Joe Willy got captain insano’d every play, and his receivers were getting clothes lined & there’s no point trying. All I’d say is, the more years that go by the more his stats add an extra asterisk for respect. The guy got killed out there.
