The sens original logo is just it mannnnn and now it's carved on The fresh ice. 🥂 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
We should load up a busload of LOSP fans for a game in Toronto and all wear Grieg jerseys.. hopefulle Sue is up for the drive!
Ullmark bought a house in Westboro . Hopeful positive sign .
If Jake Sanderson was a right shot would he be higher than Timmy?
My first Sens cry was 1997 and Ron Tugnutt’s reaction to letting in the game 7 OT winner in against…yes those Buffalo Sabres. Honourable mentions to game 7 in 2004, Hambeurglar run, and 2017. Those are my top 3 and probably in that order. Jeff Freisen in 2003 and Pommiville in 2006 just pissed me off.
Another great chat bys! Keep em coming 💯🌲
The 1:18 mark of the relevant episode features the beginning of discussion of a claim by Ross Levitan of the end of the era of winger Dom Kubalik with the Sens. That Kubalik wasn't selected in the first round of his NHL Draft year, never mind in the top-10 (due to his having been selected in the 7th round at 191st overall), makes his five-season tenure in the NHL more understandable.
The above does not make Kubalik's time in the NHL less turbulent because as much as he had survived his initial contract to a team in that league and could have, with a qualifying offer he had received from the Blackhawks team for which he had already played a full season, chosen to exercise arbitration rights if he had wanted to do so, he would become, after each of the following two contracts, an unrestricted free agent, with the first instance due to having not received a QO and the second due to the Sens having chosen not to re-sign him (by which point he had already become eligible, simply due to his age, to become a UFA). Sure his existing contract with Swiss club HC Ambri-Piotta has an NHL opt-out clause that allows him to, if he can find an NHL team for which to play on or before 14 December of this year Central European Time, play for such a team back across the Atlantic Ocean:
– NHL's free agent frenzy is over until next July
– preseason play in that North-American league is just days away, with any UFA still looking for a team for which to play having found out it hasn't been such smooth sailing, with some such players having already agreed to sign professional tryouts as they couldn't find, via other means, teams for which to play in that league
