Raptors mailbag: How Scottie Barnes can take a leap this season and debunking a Christian Koloko return

  1. Tidbits:

On how Barnes can take a leap next season:

    >The thing that Barnes will need to do given his exalted position in the pecking order, something that will show a true measure of responsibility and growth, is this: …or the third game in four nights, when energy is low and everyone’s kind of scuffling and struggling — he’s got to suck it up, find a way to get 35 or 40 points and take over from start to finish.

    On Koloko:

    >Everyone needs to move on from Koloko. Really. As far as I know he’s not cleared to return. If he is, there’s no spot for him here, and at no point have I ever heard he wants to come back to the team that cut him about two years ago. It’s a non-starter.

  2. “At no point have I ever heard that he wants to come back to the team that cut him 2 years ago”

First, he was waived during this past season to make room for guys post trade deadline? Am I mistaken?

Was he not almost forced to retire due to blood clot issues? The raptors even paid his full salary. This wasn’t some bad-will cut, they clearly wanted to keep him and play him but he wasn’t medically cleared. Can’t imagine he is holding his medical issues against the raptors?

  3. Doug Smith is smegma in human form

I don’t understand how this bum is still covering the Raptors when he doesn’t even seem to like the team and has no sources on anything. Like he couldn’t have googled the fact that Koloko was waived less than a year ago? And he thinks Scottie needs to start dropping 35 to 40 points at will when his career high is 32? lol yeah why doesn’t he just score 40 whenever he wants, it’s so easy to do that in the NBA

  4. Doug Smith is a miserable cretin, amongst other things. He’s never going to retire either because his half assed writing is so lazy it takes no effort.
