Just means that the system is just that great that it would bring you to your full potential . Tim Duncan would have been great any team he went to but the spurs tapped into his potential which made him the goat . Kg didn’t have the same mindset as Tim Duncan . He had a lot of skills for sure he was a great player . He just wasn’t Tim Duncan

The system from 1997-2003 was give the ball to Timmy on the left block- jab, jab, bank shot all day run to the defense and keep the other team from scoring for 5 minutes straight. Which is why the spurs got the label "boring". The system changed when Tony and Manu came around but the label stayed despite how entertaining they were. Kg mightve been able to be the focal point the first few years but I don't think he had the patience and leadership to allow the unknown tp and Manu to develop. Duncan's leadership is so overlooked when it comes to these debates.
Was KG a better physical talent? Possibly, but the true difference between Tim and KG was Tim’s Championship mindset which truly set them apart. The difference that sets Michael Jordan apart from other elite offensive scorers like James Harden and DeRozan was Jordan’s killer instincts and “Championship mindset” as well.
They are just running out of things to talk about, and they are really hating on Duncan. I don't think any of those guys have one ring. Lol. They don't know what it takes to win one. Enough said.
