  1. Can we just put in Sakic and skip the vote? Absolutely no disrespect to any of the other amazing Avs we’ve had, but the way things currently stand this is a no brainer.

  2. As much as Peter was absolutely incredible, Joe wins this. If Peter had a longer career I’d say yes but I just can’t. My vote is Joe.

  3. Man, feels like Morris, Selanne and Jost would have been more deserving but I guess that’s what happens when you split the vote. A bit of disrespect for Barrie there.

Anyway of course this answer is Sakic

  4. It’s Sakic. But Foppa had the higher ceiling and I was always on the edge of my seat when he was on the ice. I gotta give an honorable mention shout out to Goulet and the OG “Peter the Great”/Stosh, both incredible players in the QC days of the franchise. I still think 16 and 26 should be up in the rafters.

  5. Sakic,

Nate and Cale can take the crown from him depending on how their careers play out.

  6. Sakic made me an Avs fan when I was a kid. He was one of the longest tenured captains in history, is top 10 in points all-time, was respected even by the teams greatest rivals and will forever be remembered who gave Bourque the first cup lift of his career.

Oh also he built a cup team as a manager.

    No question.

  7. There is a reason why the other team would put out their shutdown line against Forsberg. The reason is because he was freaking the most talented player on the team. I don’t care about longevity when he still had a HOF career. Best player is best player and that’s Forsberg.

  8. How is Tyson Barrie the most over rated? And best would have to be between Sakic and MacKinnon, you literally would not be wrong if you chose one over the other. You choose Samic over Mack? You are 100% correct. You choose Mack over Sakic, you are 100% correct. I would lean towards Sakic, though, just because he has the two cups as a player AND the cup as the GM.
