  3. So Tomlinson and Bradford (and Forsythe) sucked bad but what actually constitutes poor OL play?

    Bradford’s not good in pass pro but he is physically pretty gifted. Is it just a talent issue? As in, he’s making mistakes with technique and angles and hand placement? Or is it a mental processing issue where he’s making the wrong reads?

    If these are the problems then it feels like it’s definitely improvable/fixable because those can be developed and worked on in practice. And as for cohesion and continuity, it’s just a matter of time that the OL can all play and gel together.

    But if not, then what’s holding us back? Do we simply not have the physical/mental/skill ceiling players to even have a shot at a great OL?

    We’ve had such terrible OL play for so long, I’m wondering if it’s that we haven’t given players the time and practice to develop or if it’s literally that we drafted guys who are capped with a low ceiling of potential… Like are we giving up pressures because Tomlinson and Bradford just physically can’t match up with the pass rush or is it more that they’re screwing up and zigging when they should have zagged?

    And if it’s the latter… why have we not been able to trot out a half decent line that gives Geno more than 3 seconds in the pocket? T_T

  4. How do y’all feel about the team after this game? The OL needs work, but there’s only so much we can do when multiple starters get inured. That said, it was nice to see more variety in play calls.

    The defense has improved. There was much more consistency with tackles, and it did not feel like last season with moments of awful poor play. I’m unsure at how Denver’s offense will be overall this year. The D did their part. Limiting to 16 points is fantastic.
