We have a lot to be happy about. We also have a lot to worry about. I really hope the run D playing so terrible was a fluke.
No throws to the TE yesterday. The front 6 in run defense was a letdown. Looking for growth and improvement out of the passing game as we go 2-1 for the next couple of weeks.
Heartbreaking loss, looks like I have to back off 20-0 prediction. Guess I will go to 19-1.

Sub 50% completion but, 20 yd's per attempt!
Pass rush looked solid. Coverage was "ok" but, rush D was atrocious and run O was subpar.
AR is a running threat and can throw a good deep ball. He lacks accuracy and touch. Not sure how much he can improve in those areas.

I hated the way AR didn't return the love nelson and Kelly showed when celebrating with him. Like he was too good. From game to presser, it feels like ar is what he's always been, all about AR…and 45% completion ain't gonna get it done, even with the deep bombs and runs.

I think AR will improve this season; I think he will clean that up. I’m more concerned about how both lines got flat out bullied yesterday. Letting the Texans run for over 200 yards just can’t happen. The Colts have to do something about that turf at LOS. That’s a major injury waiting to happen. I still don’t understand why grass isn’t installed…FIFA proved it can be done.

What is Guss Bradley doing? We play way to soft on Defense. Line backer 8 yards off the ball when there running it down the middle over and over. Defensive backs 6-8 yards off the ball when they only need a few yards for the first down? I don't understand why anyone would play this soft. I'd rather get beat deep than give them everything underneath while building there confidence.
The D has to be able to get off the field. They played the same soft zones as last year… its pathetic. I feel like we have talent, so play more agreesive. Especially in the red zone, they just gave the texans that TD to Diggs. Steichen needs to step up as head coach and address the issues with Gus Bradley. Cant keep doing the same crap and expect to win.
The way i see it. houston’s projected by several analysts to make it deep into the playoffs. for indy to play the way they did and lose to a team like houston im happy with the results. Alec pierce what a game! unreal throws and catches to number 14
everyone was great enough to win, except the 3rd down defense. thats about it. everything else you live with, even Mixon running Wild. if the defense makes a few more plays on 3rd down, then colts win this game.
JT won't be this bad every game, AR cant miss AD that much longer when they get more chemistry and experience, and Downs is our chain mover, underneath YAC guy.
I hate the loss, but team didnt embarrass themselves at all, alot to be encouraged about.

Spectacular throws are great but you also have to complete the normal throws and keep the sticks moving. D isn’t good enough if you only possess the ball 20 minutes.
AR needs to be given time to develop.

Let me help everyone, the Colts aren't going anywhere this year. I wonder if things would've been different if Downs was playing? I knew when Downs got hurt the Colts would lose this game. Ballard, Bradley, Cross need to hit the road asap. I really hope someone will get this secondary some help. We 100% won't beat the Texans in Houston. The two point conversion was a joke. Pierce was always open last year just didnt have the person with the arm to get it to him. I always knew he would be a great 50/50 ball winner just based off his metrics.
So where was this great edge rusher that we wasted a first round pick on???
Lets not forget AR is still the YOUNGEST qb in the league. I can live with some ups and downs. The line play on both sides of the ball is inexcusable. And how do you line up 6 yards off Diggs on 4th and goal??????
Pierce surprised me yesterday. I was out on him last year. I was pumped to get AD Mitchell in the draft. Hope they can both find a place in this offense. AP seems to work really well with AR
This game reminded me of the falcons game last year. They ran it down our throats just like the Texans did. Both teams brought in a second tight end and the Colts stayed in nickel. Kenny Moore can not set the edge!!!!! Bring in an extra linebacker when teams bring in two tight ends. When did nickel become the base defense in this league. Adjust Gus adjust!!!!!!

I thought AR was pretty good for a Rookie. The Colts Defense was terrible. Colt Defense lost that game….they can't stop three old ladies with walkers.
Bargain deal players = bargain deal results. Bargain deal Ballard at it again. Not sure if it was the LB core not getting to the gaps but Mixon ripped us apart. Every time I saw Cross he was getting run over
I do disagree with the 2 points. you need to do it as soon as possible so that you know what you will need to win as soon as possible. If you stop them from scoring you are down 2 still so you can win with a field goal. obviously we couldn't stop anything, but we would have had to go for 2 eventually anyways so its best to do it early rather than have the entire game hinge on a 2 point conversion.
Anthony will win us games our defense will cost us more games
