The Los Angeles Angels lost the series this weekend to the Texas Rangers, and despite some strong starts from Jack Kochanowicz and Tyler Anderson, the more experienced team got the better of the young Halos. On this episode of Locked On Angels, we’ll take you through each game of the weekend and point out where the Halos can see development from young players, like Samuel Aldegheri bouncing back with a solid start compared to last Friday, Jack Kochanowicz overcoming a tough first inning and delivering a quality start, and how Caden Dana’s second start didn’t live up to what he brought in his first appearance last weekend. These are things that make you go "hmmm"…
Dana's 2nd start and you have 4 regulars and the rest 5 youngsters in the lineup? I understand playing the youth, but give Dana a chance to win. Drury again with the trifecta of strikeouts hitting cleanup made Heaney look like an All-Star with 8 Ks.
Speaking of Drury again, Can we finally DFA this guy? A .167 average as your DH? So who do I blame this on Ron or the Numbers Nerd Analytics? We know we are not resigning him. Bring in another pitcher to take his place.
Lastly, Victor Mederos as a reliever? Who's bright idea was this? He was a starter 20 games at Rocket City with a 4-8 6.39 ERA and never a reliever. Why the change? This is another pitcher you're messing up his progression.
Someone or all responsible need to answer these questions and be accountable.

Only 5.5 games ahead of Colorado which has the first overall pick, if either Miami or Colorado can start playing good baseball, these guys got a chance at 3B Ethan holiday or OF Jace Laviolette, this next years draft is full of college outfielders so I think that’s Perry’s next piece for next year.
So glad we extended Perry. A new GM wouldn’t really fix this mess but to extend a guy who built a hundred loss season is just peak retardation. But that’s Angels baseball nowadays.

Good morning gentlemen . Great show as always. It was a long weekend, but I feel like the young pictures did OK. Dana hit a speed bump on Sunday, but maybe he just got punched in the face with big league hitting. That might be just what he needs as he starts on his major league journey. Trying to stay optimistic
What about the development of Moore why not DFA Drury and bring this kid up or play Stefanic because Drury does nothing for either winning now or development.
It was an interesting series for sure with some high points and frustrating moments. I was bummed they couldn't pull through on Saturday and get that win for Anderson, but at least he got to show up Bochy after not getting played in the All Star game.
If we’re looking for development, why is Drury in the lineup?
