  1. Well, that sucked. Mookie, Shohei and Edman showed up, the rest of the lineup couldn’t be bothered to put up competitive at bats against *the* single worst starter in baseball. Buehler struggled yet again and the bullpen put up an uncharacteristically bad performance. At least Shohei got closer to 50 50. On to tomorrow.

  2. Walker and Bobby basically becoming an automatic L sucks but I feel worse seeing how ass Banda has been for a while now.

We just gotta forget about today and we start again tomorrow.

  4. I’m imagining there’s going to be an influx of “DoC mAstErClAss” comments here. If you want to bitch about Doc’s bullpen choices tonight, I want you to think about this: everybody that got used tonight, in a game the Dodgers were already trailing, are guys that you would be bitching about if Doc brought them in with a lead the next couple games. Now tomorrow, in a game where the bullpen is probably going to be really needed because Yama will probably only go 3 or 4 innings, they have their reliable arms available because they didn’t blow them in a game the Dodgers were already trailing.

I’m not saying you have to be happy with losing or be happy with every decision Doc makes, but sometimes it helps to take 5 seconds and remember they aren’t managing regular season games as if they’re game 7 of the World Series. You can’t use the same 3 bullpen arms you trust every game, and sometimes the best course of action is to look ahead and realize that it might be more beneficial to set yourself up for tomorrows game

  5. Again, the pitching simply is not good enough. This team gives up WAY too many runs. Dodgers need to have one hell of an offseason to fill these holes.

Also I’m happy for Busch and Belli but geez can we at least try to limit their production tomorrow?

  6. Imagine if we had competent major league starters to use instead of basically punting 2 games every time through the rotation with Buehler and Miller.

  7. Buehler and Nick Ramirez is the most scheduled loss possible. Oh well will be nice to get Yamamoto and Graterol on the roster

  8. Continuing to put CT3 out there everyday over giving Pages more ABs before the postseason is criminal.

  9. Buehler was fine. He pitched like an average passable starter today. That is progress. Need to change the frame of reference and judge him as a back end starter and not an ace. Extending him for the sixth was a mistake obviously

    Banda magic may be over.

Offense not hitting Hendricks was the real story. If they score a few more runs, doc is able to play this a lot more strategically and get high leverage relievers in there.

    Bad game

  10. Smith has one good game followed up by 3 bad ones. He came into the year looking like the Best Catcher in baseball. Will always miss that first month

  11. Everyone blaming the pitching,  but where were our nearly 1 billion dollars worth of bats?

  12. Starting pitching is going to make us lose in the playoffs. Sad to say. Elite starting pitching is how you win the World Series.

  13. Ah shit, I was hoping Buehler was going to turn the corner. I can’t wait for Yama and Glasnow to return.

  14. *”…it helps to take 5 seconds and remember they aren’t managing regular season games as if they’re game 7 of the World Series.”*

The Phillies treat random Tuesday games in May as if they were Game 7.

The Braves and Cubs treat Wednesday day games as if there are two outs in the bottom 8th of a 4-2 series-deciding game with the bases loaded.

Teams like the O’s and Yankees (and pretty much that whole ALE division) take 3-4 hours to play their meaningless Sunday June game as if it were tied 8-8 heading to the 13th inning in Game 7.

Dodgers meanwhile have a continual track record of treating World Series or other postseason games under Roberts like the forgettable Wednesday 12:00pm matinee in May. **And don’t dispute that fact when there has been seven of eight postseason track records of this infuriating shit with him.**
