I mean he’s not going to say “Shelton is a bum, he’s going to get fired the second the season is over”.
Is it more likely he stays? Absolutely, but this quote means nothing.
Why change anything? These guys are the smartest guys in the room and everything is clearly great

I literally can’t even with this team
They said that with Hurdle a week before he was let go. BC said Cruz was his shortstop 8 days before his move to CF. Until he shows up in Spring Training, I will take this with a grain of salt.
