  1. I love you Deebo but this ain’t it 🤨

SAS baited him into that though. What else was he supposed to say? It must suck that Kyle got one without him though.

  2. *Press X for doubt*

No offense to DeMarr, he was and is still a good player. But Kawhi was not just a good player that run, but a top 3 guy in the world.

  3. The trash brothers and DeFrozen wouldn’t have stood a chance

Not only is Kawhi lightyears better in the playoffs, Lowry was able to play off him and escape the choker label

  4. Sixers would have knocked Raptors out in 4 or 5 in the second round.

That series was already dead heat even with Kawhi having the series of his life.

  5. I know Stephen A loathes Kawhi since he doesn’t talk but this is by far his worst take.

DeRozan is great but Kawhi was absolutely legendary against the Sixers and dragged a bum leg around against the Bucks while still scoring 30 a game and defending Giannis for most of the series. One of the greatest individual playoff runs I’ve seen

  6. Nooooo he averaged like 16 points as the best player on his 60 win team that series that’s why he was SWEPT not because “LeBrOn”. That same LeBron went 7 against two way-less talented rosters in the east that same post season. Also in 18 nobody’s beating the warriors besides a healthy rockets team and in 19 the raptors lose to the sixers bc of the way he plays in the post season.

  7. Wasn’t Danny green also a part of that trade…. just saying he played a big part of that run as well, with his defense mainly

  8. Raptors would have been the 4th seed and got knocked out in the second round in 5 games if they didn’t make the Kawhi trade.

  9. He’s delusional. I love demar and hate Kawhi but Kawhi has a top 20 of all time argument, demar isn’t even close.

  10. love you demar but those Philly and Bucks series was brutal I dont know if you could’ve won that for us.

  11. I think if you’re at a high level, you have to tell yourself something like this. Admitting you fell short is embarrassing.

  12. This guy is saying outrageous shit to promote his book. That’s where we are now.

I really liked DD. He was a hard worker but just never had enough talent. He needs to stop being salty now because if he was that good he would have won elsewhere and as a free agent he got to choose after SA.

  13. I’m having trouble thinking of a more delusional statement by an NBA player.

Akin to Rob Schneider saying the show would’ve been just as good if Comedy Central had given it to him instead of Dave Chappelle.

  14. Kawhi is an elite playoff riser and derozan is an elite playoff choker. And we still came incredibly close to losing to the sixers. I have my doubts

  15. Love Demar but boi you ain’t guarding Simmons while dropping efficient 30 every game and you sure as hell ain’t guarding Giannis and also drop 30 every game so just stop

That buzzer beater is out of the question if it wasn’t clear

  16. Going down 0-2 to the Bucks, DeMar was *not* the guy who was gonna win 4 straight to send you to the finals. I’d even argue that the Warriors without KD and Klay might have been able to close it out against the DeMar Raptors.

  17. As much as I love DeMar there’s a reason why he’s nicknamed “DeFrozen one.” Kawhi came in and un-did the damage of LeBronto.

  18. I love DeRozan and we Toronto fans will never forget how he willingly embraced the team and the city at a time when we had nothing but a long history of failure and star players bailing to go elsewhere. Massive love and respect for him.

But as good as he was, DeRozan’s play could not match what Kawhi brought that season. It’s not that close. Kawhi was absolutely spectacular at both ends of the floor, and the true leader on the floor to elevate the team. Looking back it’s actually kind of amazing to see how stacked that team was especially with really solid defensive players and rotation guys like Siakam and VanVleet who were playing at starter levels, but it still took MVP-level play from Kawhi to win it all.

Again looking back at that season remember how GSW was annointed the champions during the pre-season because they brought in Demarcus Cousins to make them look unstoppable both high and low? Going into that season I had never been more certain about who was going to win the championship, and I lived through the Showtime Lakers and Jordan Bulls eras. But in the end not only were the beaten, but by the Toronto Fucking Raptors. Amazing.
