Los Angeles Angels PR & Injury Honesty, 6-4 Loss to Twins, Officially Eliminated, Jo Adell’s Season

The Los Angeles Angels fell to the Twins on Wednesday, 6-4, after Jack Kochanowicz had a somewhat efficient start, but he struggled with pitch location, which ultimately affected his performance. With this loss, the Halos have been officially eliminated from playoff contention, marking another disappointing end to the season. We’ll give you the details from the game and explain how 3 Halo home runs weren’t enough to nab the win in segment 1.

Then, Jo Adell made a significant change this season, switching from a leg kick to a toe-tap batting stance. This adjustment has led to noticeable improvements in his stats, marking a step in the right direction for the young outfielder. While it wasn’t a full breakout season, Adell’s progress is promising and suggests potential for future success. We’ll discuss how this change has impacted his performance and what it means for his role on the team moving forward.

Plus, the Angels’ handling of Ben Joyce’s injury has raised eyebrows, especially after manager Ron Washington claimed Joyce was fine just a day before he landed on the IL. This incident highlights a recurring issue with the team’s injury communication, frustrating fans who feel left in the dark. We’ll explore the implications of this poor communication and how it fits into the Angels’ broader PR strategy. Is the team prioritizing a positive image over transparency?

  1. Drury injured his left hamstring and Teodosio got hit in the hand trying to bunt Tuesday. Resulting in a small fracture in his right hand. So we finally get to end Drury's season and turn the page from him. So the next 2 open spots is for Davis Daniel and Nick Robertson. Let them finish out the season and see what happens.

Jo Adell had a great season in progress. Defensive Player for the Month award, 20 homeruns, 15 stolen bases, and 130 games played. I always believed in the guy and still is only 25. He can build on this and soon to begin his peak years next season.

The whole Ben Joyce injury exposure in the media is not surprising. Arteball and his people have never been transparent about the team for years now and that's how he wants it. It surprises me only Jeff Fletcher and a few others get the "inside information" of the team. Teams like Dodgers, Giants, Yankees, Red Sox, and Cubs could never suppress any information like Arteball does.

  2. These injuries are frustrating not only because we use up depth but we’ll lose a player from the 40man once that man comes back, I really Perry does something to address it because we’ve been running the same plan for the past 4-5 years.

I get that injuries happen, and we just happen to get the ugly side of things but I think this comes from not drafting many position players. Sure you can draft the core because but once those players get injured, what next?

At the same time, I’ll really like the pitching depth if Perry goes out and does the right things.
