Penguins Player Grid Day 11: Most Consistent (All Time)
September 12, 2024
Mario was voted as the player with the best shot, who is the most consistent player of all time?

It’s got to be Sid, right?
Crosbys lowest points per game in a season is 1.06 so I think this one is pretty easy
Sidney the Kidney.
Has to be Sid
Crosby is like a robot (in a good way).
Sid, despite the concussion years
Sid, no question. Next!
It’s either Mario or Sid, and there really should be a “most complete player” category (that’s hands down Sid, since he’s arguably the most complete player in NHL history)
The batshit crazy thing is – Sid hasn’t won a category yet. So it has to go to Sid, even though Mario MIGHT have deserved this one as well.
Imagine having such a storied franchise that a top 5-6 NHL player ALL TIME has trouble winning one of these categories? Lmao.
Crosby.
He’s probably the most consistent player in NHL history let alone Penguins history.
Sid
Definitely Sid
Crosby hands down
Daryl
Crosby is the definition of consistency.
I vote for the guy on the verge of breaking Gretzky’s seasons at PPG streak, that feels consistent
Got into an argument with an oilers fan trying to gaslight me that Crosby was not consistent in his age. Yeah right bud. All right grid, show me Crosby.
Slap me silly sidney
Sid
As a neutral fan that got recommended this post, the lack of Sid to this point is upsetting.
Also, Lemieux is obviously the most talented Penguin – but does Sid winning 3 cups make him the best penguin?
This is the first unanimous one. Sid.
Sidney Patrick Crosby
Sid without a doubt
Over the past ten years, Sidney Crosby has played in 722 games. Over that span, he has 318 goals and 509 assists.
If you look at each of the complete seasons over that span, you’ll likely find at least 30 goals and at least 50 assists.
Perhaps the most consistent thing about Sid, though, is his ability to improve his game — even as a veteran. While others see their abilities decline across the board, Sid finds ways to improve his faceoffs (49.9% in 14-15 to 58.2% in 23-24), defensive play (37 takeaways in 14-15 to 73 in 23-24) and physical play (66 hits in 14-15 to 101 in 23-24).

Everyone here is wrong. You have to take the concussion years as alack of consistency, mostly because he didn’t even play.
The real answer is Josef Melichar. He was consistently the worst player on the ice in every single game he played.
Sid. Next question.
Next 6 : Crosby, Hagelin, Geno, Orpik, Perron?, Crosby even if he got injured multiple times, he’s always came back. Season 20 🥹🔥.
Sidney Crosby
Sid without a doubt
Crosby. Also the correct choice for most consistent player in NHL history.
It probably should be Sid, but I keep thinking about some of the guys like Ulf, Murphy, and Francis who were rock solid in their days.
