Anyone know if this is true or know anything more? If it is true, I'm actually OK with it. According to the article, "Rumors indicate that the Lightning are exploring a trade that would bring Andersson to Tampa Bay, with the Flames retaining $1.6 million of his salary. In exchange, the Flames would receive defenseman Nicklaus Perbix, forward Conor Sheary, and the Lightning’s 2026 first-round pick."

No shot lmao
We need to quit trading away picks.
It’s a trade rumor website, I’d have my doubts
Awful trade for the Flames, hope it happens.
Where would we get the cap space?
Not sure why the Flames would make that trade, but – hey – go for it.
What’s a 1st round pick?
No. They have to hold onto that 1st pick because god knows it’s going to be valuable by then.
Same site said Vatrano would be a Bolt back in July, it’s September now. If it’s not an insider insider like Friedman and LeBrun (who does have the pulse of Bolts happenings) ignore it.
That Twitter account is mostly just clickbait material. Also, I’m pretty sure Sheary has a 15 team no trade this season and I you have to think Calgary is probably on that list. This trade does not work cap wise without Sheary being moved
I doubt it’ll happen, we’d have to see it real soon before training camp and preseason starts
Did that article just refer to Sheary as a promising player?
Not a chance sadly. Andersson is worth way too much for them to be retaining salary without multiple firsts or a first + high level prospect + other. First pairing right D in mid 20s
Based on the fact that the article refers to Sheary in a positive light multiple times means it cannot be trusted. I’m calling bs. Would be an awesome deal for the lightning but it makes very little sense for Calgary.
Geekie +1st just for Anderson, + a sweetener for retention + something for a bad money contract dump. Bolts aren’t trading from a position of strength as they are all in on keeping competitive window open. Flames need to be incentivized to do this trade as they really don’t need to make it nor make it cheap or convenien
Cool idea, for me it doesn’t make sense. I think we would go for this to replace the hole Sergachev left behind, but tbh I think we will be fine on defense. Would much rather look into some bottom 6 forwards. Please
NHLtraderumor website is nothing more than a gossip/tabloid for completely made up trade rumors. Can we please stop posting them and giving them website traffic
