I would think Santander would want to resign with Baltimore but even then I still think it’s risky to sign an outfielder in an outfield group that’s full of guys trying to get playing time
Hey, guys You know I'm a fan, so honestly here isn't hostile! My first thought about the first segment (as an old guy) is, "So California!" Lol. I just don't expect team transparency like that. Too many angles, and most if them we won't know about. It's an innate part of team competition, similar to (with great differences in gravitas) the balance we expect with intelligence services. We know many things cannot be public for things to work, even if, with American sensibility, we like open government. Excuse the apparent ridiculousness of the comparison, but I hope there is a comparative value. I'm a fan, and I simply figure some things are management prerogatives that I don't sweat.
I hope the Angels have learned their very hard lessons and forego another massive FA deal. There is no window yet for this team. It's a "good money after bad" thing, IMO. I think the team needs more formative seasons before a big FA signing has reasonable ROI. Adding another piecemeal player isn't a strategy.
Everyone loves a winning team. If Arte just sees fans as consumers then if he was smart a WINNING Angels Team Would sell more and World Series Angels Team Would sell out.
Santander actually plays better right field than he gets credit for. Fredi Gonzalez, the Orioles’ bench coach says that he gets great jumps on fly balls. He has a very strong arm as well. The only drawback is his speed. I think in 2021 he was in gold glove contention (not sure about the year). But he is modern-day type of slugger, low to mid average and a lot of homers, and not that many walks, which is perhaps what the Orioles are looking to move on from (especially with the new ownership (which now has superstar ballplayers on their board from different sports (Cal Ripken and Grant Hill)). He was a Rule 5 pick from the previous Orioles’ regime (Dan Duquette, before Mike Elias and the analytic group). The lack of humidity in California may affect his HRs, but maybe those can become doubles.

Speaking of explaining things what is carbon neutral? Our games are a family affair when we go to the games the kids and grandchildren all go its a family outing. When we watch games on TV one of the kids bring the drinks and one brings the pizza and we all watch it together. We are fans and we want to know what holds for the future and the group of young guns gets us all excited about the future. Extremely disappointed we won't see Moore this season but hoping to see some spring training with him playing.

Wouldn't mind seeing Santander on the team as long as Adell gets his fair shot at right field. I feel like he's earned at least that much this season.
