Feel bad for AA. I think he can hang in the NHL, but unless we move Sandin or someone gets hurt for an extended time it seems like he’s not going to crack the top 4 here. Even getting consistent 3rd pair minutes looks tough. This will definitely be one of the situations to watch throughout preseason.
If he looks at least as good as TVR in training camp, we need to start him and extend him. He still has a lot of room to grow while TVR is 33. Bear is a good 7th man.
TVR having two years left on his contract makes it a bit tough to flip, but I could still see a Cup contender offering a low pick since he’s a quality depth veteran.
