  1. I remember before the free agency started. Kneubeck mentioned that he was confident that Batum would come back, but it would take more than vet min.

    I think their original plan was to offer him significantly more than vet min, but when the free agency started, they realized both PG and Caleb Martin were a real possibility. So, they pivot and only had vet min left for him. So, he took more money and signed with clippers
