The Orioles (83-64), after a momentum-building win the previous night, dropped the rubber game against the Red Sox on Wednesday night in Boston. Another case of squandered chances and a lack of clutch hitting, combined with pretty good pitching that just could not get enough run support, not to mention, the occasional simply odd thing or two going on. Morale needs to pick up starting tonight in Motor City. We take on the Detroit Tigers (75-71) for six of the next nine games, with Zach Eflin taking the mound against a yet-to-be-announced pitcher for Detroit. Good news is, we will fade Tarik Skubak, not just in this series, but perhaps in the next homestand as well. It is SEPTEMBER, folks! The playoff push is ON. So saddle up, grab some snacks, a drink or six, and enioy the ballgame. Thank yooooouuuuuu.
