  1. This team just seemed to give up after the grand slam. After fumbling away the game against LA and this game, you have to wonder how the clubhouse is taking it being perpetually 5-6 games out of the wild card

  2. I know everyone hates context in a loss but the following teams are .500 or worse vs COL

    – ATL: 3-3
    – BOS: 1-2
    – CLE: 1-2
    – KCR: 1-2
    – MIL: 3-4
    – SDP: 5-8
    – STL: 2-2
    – TEX: 0-3

Cubs are now 3-1. Losses suck, especially to a bad team and especially with playoff hopes dwindling (or basically fully dwindled), but they happen. There was zero chance we were going 16-0 the final stretch.

  3. Honestly fuck this team. I’m so over this false hope bullshit. Cubs have 9 wins in 11 years here. What the actual fuck

  4. FWIW, Cubs outperformed my expectations the last 1.5 months and showed some real fight and run production the last 3 weeks on the road. 6GB of the wildcard with 15 games to go, it’s probably not happening but I’d still like to spoil the mets chances or dbags/braves/padres as they are all bunched up. Fuck those guys.

  5. I was at the game and while it hurts to lose in and of itself, but Cubs fans fill this stadium so Rockies fans absolutely relish in sending us home sad (which I get). This was one of those games that hurt very specifically worse to attend.

  6. We should have dfa’ed Smiler, but we put him on wiavers. I don’t really give a shit that he’s our only lefty reliever, if he’s shit, matchups won’t make a difference.
