Finnish interview with Antti Raanta. Says he got some offers from NHL teams but does not want go play 60 games in Ahl waiting for someone to get hurt or fail. Looking to continue playing somewhere in Europe.

Imo Raanta was/is a great goalie who never reached full potential mainly due injuries.
It was so weird how Carolina got absolutely shafted from having the second best goalie tandem to having neither do well after injuries. I think Carolina has missed their best window for a cup personally, but anything can happen.
Maybe Raanta can come back after a bit in Europe
I’d rather be a starting goalie making 500k then a bench warmer making 800k too after the career he’s had. Best of luck to him
I loved the part about his wife showing him instagram pictures of Switzerland and telling him to sign there because it’s so pretty.
