I swear I haven’t seen a positive Dodgers news notification in like a week and a half.
I’m an ardent anti-doomer.
I can acknowledge that all the bitching this year has been completely unwarranted, WHILE also acknowledging that the pitching staff has been a super hot mess in the second half and especially in the last month of the season.
The really shitty part about it is the bullpen arms are getting abused at exactly the wrong time.
The reality is that the only pitcher the Dodgers can expect 5+ innings from is Jack Flaherty. Everyone else we’ll either need an extremely short leash with a very tired BP to try and come to the rescue.
Can it work? Of course. We can get lucky.
But we saw what happened last year with a shamble of a SP staff paired with a lights out bullpen. We lost every game of the 2023 NLDS in the first 2-3 innings. The BP has pitched 15+ innings before G3 even started.
All this to say… FUCK.
Better this than being an angels fan 🤷🏻♂️
I’m trying really hard not to blame the training staff
The only way dodgers have a good chance is if Ohtani can pitch as our ACE.
We’ll have to deal the postseason losses with Miller and Walker but it’s pretty much looking like 2023, Maybe Kershaw can come in for 1 inning as a good bye game.
Or LAFC fan
