  1. I 100% understand starting the inning with Koenig… but not taking Koenig out after the first two hits is head scratching. Sitting Williams down after warming up was also head scratching. Not taking Koenig out after the third hit was head scratching. Not taking Koenig out after the HBP was head scratching.

The only thing that would make sense is if Williams tweaked something while warming up. Otherwise… I dunno.

  2. 4-2 is still great but today soured the whole thing. We literally handed them a free win I don’t get it

  3. Wow. Fucking pathetic ending. Literally just threw the game for no reason, leaving Koenig in there. Greg-esque bullpen management.

  4. That is one of the worst losses I can remember. Murph has done lots of good things but that was one of the worst managing moments I have ever seen. And we saw intentionally walking to get to Chourio in the top of the inning.

  5. Murph really makes some puzzling in-game decisions that I hope don’t come back to burn us in the playoffs

  6. Chourio with one of his most clutch moments so far in his career and then Murph throws the rest of the game

  7. It seems wrong to complain about things given where we stand, but I’m a little tired of Murphy acting like he’s managing the Marlins instead of a team trying to secure a playoff bye. The goal is to win games, not squeeze the life out of every pitcher you have just to save an arm. Not the first game this month that it’s felt like he’s content to take an unnecessary loss.
