Farhan’s chair might be more than smoldering lol

  1. Now the real question is if Farhan is out and Posey is in, do the Johnsons give Posey the ability to spend so they can place the blame on Farhan instead of themselves??

  2. This is the first thing that has made me think there is an actual chance Farhan could be out. Fingers crossed

  3. This article completely changed my view on Farhan’s future. Thought he would be here one more year but now feels like he’s done. Not sure how you can keep this going and expect different results if ownership is this at odds with him

  4. Im sorry but how Is it that Farhan’s initial proposal didn’t include a no trade clause if ownership was fine w it? How is this sniveling asshole still employed?

  5. This sounds big. The first obvious disconnect between ownership/BP and FZ.

This shit doesn’t get out unless someone wanted it out.

Reminds me of when all the reports of locker room tension started appearing before Kapler got the boot

  6. In fairness to Farhan, he was pretty much restricted to talking to Boras, who doesn’t make this easy at all. Posey was able to reach out directly to Chapman and get this done.

  7. Makes sense. Farhan was probably busy seeing what injured infielders in their mid 30’s he could sign to one-year deals next season.

  8. This is interesting and I’m sure we will hear more of these stories if Farhan is relieved of his duties.

Stories like this proves that he’s better suited in a cubicle in a front office reading excel spreadsheets instead of being a decision maker and negotiating deals

  9. The organization is in need of a fresh start going into 2024. And the best way to do so would be to move on from everyone from Farhan to Bob Melvin.

  10. My two cents is that the Chapman deal is one made by ownership, not Farhan. “Analytics people” traditionally don’t sign 31 year olds to 6 year deals (unless it’s Freddie Freeman and have cash to burn).

Have to wonder if this is a sign of Buster getting more into a GM type role/involved in the player transaction operations. He always seemed more of a FO guy to me than a manager.
