  1. Still time to course correct. All the championship contenders except the Chiefs took L’s today but the Lions better figure it out quickly because you can’t afford to go 1-3 into the bye.

  2. I didn't feel any type of way until I looked at the game stats. According to the stats given on the NFL website, the Lions had a total of 463 yards of offense this game, to Tampa Bay's 216. Jared Goff threw for 307 of those yards. He threw for almost a hundred more yards than Tampa Bay had TOTAL. They also had seven minutes over Tampa Bay in time of possession. If you look at the stats, not knowing the score, you'd think the Lions won this game by a mile and a half.

People will blame Goff for the two interceptions, but that genuinely isn't what lost us this game. Those two interceptions totaled 3 points for Tampa Bay, and I refuse to believe we would have capitalized on either of those drives given how terrible the redzone offensive playcalling was. The offensive playcalling today, specifically in the redzone, is what did us in. The guys on the field did everything they could, and the stats show that.

  3. That's enough of that preseason nonsense you want to be better week 1 and week 2 play the guys in the preseason. When everybody else was talking about getting better and going out and getting the talent to be better we were talking about going to the super bowl and being villains! Worst of all we tied ourselves to a no-trade contract for a quarterback that can't extend a play or run to save his life. We paid top dollar for a guy who has one of the three necessary skills to be a top quarterback in the NFL. There are defensive ends making plays all over this league that we could have signed but we threw that money away on a tier 2 starter at quarterback. If we can't contain Baker Mayfield when he leaves the pocket does anybody in their right mind think we can handle Kyler Murray? It's time to get off the blue juice sober up and see things for what they are. We are a coin flip from being 0 and 2 playing teams decimated by injury!

  4. Everyone wants to give huge praise to OC because of his trick plays but it seems to me he has no faith in our running backs. They say the bucs are hard to run against and yes they will be hard to run against IF you have no FAITH in the DB'S. I would have thought that running the ball down the rams throats in OT would have proved that we can run the ball on anyone provided the OC has confidence in the team. When you pass 55 times that says you have NO FAITH IN OUR RB'S !

  5. I agree, teams have figured out Ben Johnson..and Goff is not dialed in yet..We got time your offensive line has to start dominating 🔥💯 we got to establish dominance at the offensive line 💯 Let's go Lion's 🔥

  6. 0:02 lol I think people over looked the Bucs, and also the fact that the Lions have played 2 teams to open the season that looked like Mash units. However there’s a bigger issue that is starting to become apparent. The problem with the Lions is that teams have figured out how to stop Detroit’s offense and that is take away the muddled of the fields and force Goff to beat you on the outside. The Bears exposed this last year and even Sean McVay talked about it on a podcast this past week. SHAME on the great Ben Johnson!! Now you see why the Lions look inept in the 3rd quarters of games….

  7. You do stick to your guns. I was heated watching this game and want to blame Goff but watching it back it’s clear that the play calling is the problem. Goff isn’t a shotgun QB. We establish the run, and play action from under center. Then we can start getting into different formations. BJ thought the Bucs secondary would be beat up and wanted to throw the ball. He also looked at last year and assumed we wouldn’t be able to run the ball well. Even after Vea went out he didn’t try to exploit their run defense. He needs to right the ship and let these players do what they do best.

  8. Until Ben Johnson and Goff figure things out/knock of the rust, we need to be playing bully ball. Run the dayuum ball 😣 There was absolutely NO reason Monty couldn’t get in there to run it up the gut like last week. This is on Ben, Jared, and MCDC. Hope they figure it out soon. 🤞🏽

  9. I wish you'd stop saying "you all in the comments section said…" as if we are one person. Lots of differing opinions in the comment section. I told my brother the day after Reynolds signed with Denver that we'd miss him. Just watch Goff's highlights from last season many of them are to Reynolds.

  10. The Detroit Lions' offense in 2024, while showing flashes of brilliance, is facing some significant challenges that could spell trouble as the season progresses. Here are a few key issues that are cause for concern:

    1. **Lack of Consistency**: The Lions' offense has struggled to find a rhythm from week to week. Some games, they look unstoppable, but in others, they seem to stall out. This inconsistency makes it difficult to rely on them to win close games, especially against tougher defenses.

    2. **Jared Goff's Turnovers**: While Jared Goff has been solid in stretches, his turnovers, particularly interceptions in key moments, have been a major issue. Goff's decision-making under pressure has been questionable at times, and turnovers have killed momentum in crucial drives.

    3. **Offensive Line Inconsistency**: The Lions have dealt with a new RT on the offensive line, which has led to a lack of protection for Goff and an inconsistent passing game. Without a solid offensive line effort, it's hard to establish the l or give the quarterback enough time to make plays.

    4. **Struggles in the Red Zone**: Detroit has had issues converting red zone opportunities into touchdowns. Settling for field goals instead of finishing drives with six points has been a recurring problem. If they can't improve their efficiency in the red zone, it will be hard to keep up with high-powered offenses.

    5. **Injuries to Key Playmakers**: Injuries to key offensive players, like wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, and a few defensive pieces. They have limited the offense’s ability to be explosive. Depth is a concern, and if these key players miss more time, the Lions' offense could struggle even more.

    6. **Predictability of the Playcalling**: While offensive coordinator Ben Johnson has received praise for creative play designs, there have been complaints that the Lions' offense becomes too predictable in certain situations. Defenses are adjusting to their tendencies, making it harder to sustain drives.

The Lions have the talent to turn things around, but these issues need to be addressed if they want to maintain their strong start and make a legitimate playoff push. Otherwise, their offensive struggles could hold them back in what is a non home-field playoff NFC birth.
