  1. We’re 2-0 after facing the Ravens and the Bengals – I’d say we’re doing alright.

Offense always starts a bit slow and vanilla, that will be sorted out and end of the day, we’ve got Mahomes, Kelce, Jones, and McDuffie

  2. To those complaining about the offense: They practiced all summer with Hollywood and now he’s gone after 1 preseason snap. He was going to be a key part of our offensive gameplans and Pat and the coaches are still trying to figure out how to fill the void.

  3. Looks like Pacheco will be out for a few weeks. That sucks, hope he can heal up and Carson steel can help step up.

  4. Yesterday was actually reassuring. Chiefs got their annual “inexplicably play their C- game against the Bengals” out of the way early, and unlike previous encounters actually walked away with the win. Mahomes played poorly, as did our tackles, but Kingsley will learn and get better.

One area of concern is our LB corps. Two weeks in a row teams have picked on them, and TEs have feasted against us to open the season. We’ve weathered it thus far but it’s something to note moving forwards.

(Side note: Bengals fans have already moved on to the last lament of the loser and are [complaining about uncalled holding.](https://x.com/_mlfootball/status/1835474110245482975?s=46&t=pkni6GRbeTj3sw_si0D37w) )

  5. Is it time to call David Bakhtiari?

Both LTs looked outclassed yesterday, and that certainly made the game closer than it should have been.

  6. I was told all offseason that Rashee can’t win deep. See his touchdown yesterday and eat my ass.

He can win deep, even if he’s not often asked to do so.

  7. It feels like Pat and Trav aren’t as locked in as they usually are. That was Pats second lowest yards game and the other one he left with an injury. Travis has been basically non existent.. Pat threw 14 picks last season and is already at 3 this year! I know they’ll figure it out but it going to be hard in my heart until they do lol

  8. I’m glad we’re 2-0, but I’m not a fan of game manager Pat. Our D and Bengals being idiots with penalties kept us in that game.

  9. Two toes away from being 0-2. Last year we were 10-7 heading into the playoffs. Our offensive scheme needs to change. Yesterday was the worst full game of MaHomes career. He took a big step back last year, statistically, again because of the offensive scheme. All of these short passes, gadget plays is not fun to watch. I mean I can’t complain too much, we won a super bowl last year, but part of that was luck. I miss the 2018 offense.

  10. If Pacheco is out (I’m assuming he’s missing a few games probably could even be a IR candidate) it’s time to sign Jerick Mckinnon or Kareem Hunt. Or both.

  11. There were two games yesterday with a big DPI happening late. Both DPIs had posts about them on /r/nfl

[One of those posts](https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/s/TFDHucCgJX) has (at the time of writing) 27 comments. [The other one](https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/s/geK2NP1Pc9) has 2,8k comments.

All those people who are saying that it always seems to be the Chiefs who benefit from calls late in the game, have they ever considered that it might seem like that because they never care or notice when it happens elsewhere?

  12. im not entirely sure what all there is to take away from yesterday. Suamataia struggling is definitely one, but he was granted zero help with Hendrickson yesterday. i understand that Andy really likes having the extra receiving option and all that, but does it matter if your QB is constantly getting harassed on his blind side?

otherwise, it was Bengals week. for whatever reason Pat and Andy make a series of boneheaded decisions that keep the Bengals in the game every single time we play them. both the ’21 and ’22 AFCCGs should have been blowouts but werent. let’s see how they look against the Falcons before we say anything for sure.

  13. Championship teams, good teams, need luck. It hasn’t been pretty, but this team has put themselves in position to have that luck swing our way. Don’t forget not long ago those key moments always went the other way with us losing. We are 2-0 now with likely only the Bills as true threats for the AFC. Keep it in perspective before you say the sky is falling. This team has never given us reason to not think they will compete the last six years
