[Willjax] Caleb’s 2.59 second time to throw was 6th fastest in the league, and the Texans still managed pressure on 36/44 dropbacks

We're gonna get Caleb killed, or give him the same PTSD we gave Fields.

  1. Williams hope for an NFL career were dying with every play call and every snap.

Why spend all that accumulated value in the draft if we are just going to let the kid be mauled like Cutler?

  2. That stat highlights the fact that the Texans could care less about that as they were pinning their ears back and blitzing with supreme confidence, especially on third downs.

They only had to worry about the pass game as they knew the run game was non-existent, and Caleb presented no threat to make them pay with his legs.

No chance any routes intermediate or deep was going to develop consistently with the combination of no run game and trash o line in pass protection.

  3. Someone needs to get some percentiles out. Average ain’t my jam for this stat since you’re going to get skewed by scrambles. I’d like to see a P50 or P75. You see like 75% of passes came out in under 2.4 and it’s a different vibe than “average of 2.59”

  4. its like we’re caught in a time loop. every year seems to be the same. no OLine. no offense. Qb struggles. suspect coaching and play calling. i dont know where to draw the line between ‘its only week 2, rookie qb, etc; and fire everyone into the sun.’ just fix it. i dont care how.

  5. Also, Houston was ranked 5th best in pass rushing core going into the season. The only team on our schedule that should be very similar is the 49ers (ranked 4th).

    Things should get better.

  6. He was better last night. But he wasn’t great. He is so inaccurate, all I have heard is how accurate he is.

  7. Not trying to make excuses but the Titans and Texans have two of the better D-Lines in the league. Indianapolis got destroyed on the ground this week against Green Bay. If we can’t get the run going against them next week then it’s officially time to be concerned.

  8. The Bears are like a knight that spent all his money on a shiny new sword but neglected to upgrade his armor.

Letting Monty go was such an unforced error.

  9. If only we can have a GM who understands the importance of the OL, which is weird cuz Poles was a former o-lineman.

Hope they can find a way to protect Caleb, I don’t want to see him hurt his rookie year.
