good morning want to welcome the Ottawa Senators and we want to welcome the Senators charity open which is presented by Bell we want to welcome you all and this is The Unofficial kickoff of the 20124 25 season indeed it’s it’s a it’s a special day we’re a hockey Community that’s gotten together off the ice making a difference uh we’re going to make a heck of a difference today with the with the foundation uh and for that as owner I’m very grateful today we’re going to have a great day the sun is shining it’s really important to acknowledge that we’ve all come together you’re making a really big difference it’s for mental health and I think some of us could say that Belle who was our Pres pres in sponsor took the lead on Shining a light on mental health so many years ago and today it’s okay to talk about mental illness um and we want everybody to do that there are 1.2 million children in Canada who suffer from mental illness this really makes a difference to us and we’re couldn’t be prouder to kick off the um s charity open sponsor by yeah I mean it’s always fun uh playing all for a good cause and I think the team has been known for helping out the community and uh so I’m just really thankful that we were able to do that and uh hopefully everybody’s having a great day yeah I’d say it’s a it’s a good way to kick off the season and raise money for for good reasons and meet with sponsors and uh people who support our team day in and day out and we’re very appreciative of that the money that we’re raising today are going to at least three areas one of the areas is that we’re going to help the Emergency Services of Mental Health crisis in gatel the second thing we’re doing is we’re supporting D IFD at the Royal um to encourage peer-to-peer support and lastly we’re supporting ysb who’s here with us today but one of the things that we’re supporting is a 247 crisis line that there’s a real person qualified person picking up that phone when a child or youth needs to talk to somebody thank you to all of our sponsors thank you to our um our owners thank you guys thank you
