I can’t wait to go to Jose Ramirez Field on the corner of Carnegie and Jose Ramirez street and sit in the Jose Ramirez dugout section and eat a Jose Ramirez shaped pretzel while looking at the 20 ft Jose Ramirez statue out in heritage park in 2040
He’s hit 4 home runs on his birthday in the past. 2 in 2020, 1 in 2022, and 1 in 2023. Since 2015, he has also gotten at least 1 hit in games on his birthday. He has a .333 batting average for these games too.
If today were a regional holiday and you didn’t have to work, and the kids were off school, how would you celebrate?
I’d like to think every town would open their ballfields for pickup baseball, and blast Dominican music. People would just roll up and tailgate and sit in the sun and watch the games.
