Chicago Bears Rumors: Sign David Bakhtiari? Teven Jenkins To Right Guard? Shane Waldron Concerns?

Chicago Bears Rumors: Sign David Bakhtiari? Teven Jenkins To Right Guard? Shane Waldron Concerns?

Bears head coach Matt Eberflus spoke to the media in Monday’s press conference and made a couple bizarre remarks. Eberflus defended the Bears’ process to challenging plays, despite neither challenge having any chance of being overturned against the Texans. He also said if the Bears running game gets going, Caleb Williams won’t get pressured as much. Well, guess what? The Bears can’t run the football? After the Bears 19-13 loss to the Houston Texans, Bears head coach Matt Eberflus spoke to the media about his challenges and the OL troubles during the game. Is there any defending Eberflus’ decisions to challenge? Plus, what changes could be made to the starting O-Line ahead of the Bears Week 3 game against the Colts? In other NFL news, Bryce Young was benched after a rough first two weeks to the NFL season. Is the Young trade one of the most lopsided trades in NFL history? Chat Sports host Harrison Graham brings you today’s Chicago Bears news and rumors.

  1. Justin made the line look better with his feet and made the run game better by keeping defenses respectful which opened things up. We need to roll out Caleb more until this line is fixed next draft and FA

  2. You should label your mail bags in the title. I don’t like them and it’s annoying when I click on it and find out it’s a mail bag. I usually thumb it down because of the inconvenience.

  3. The sad reality is our solutions are in house. Wether its new Oline coach or adjustments by Waldron. Im not relying on a trade. The offensive line needs to be patched together with 6 & 7 man lines either I formation & power runs or 12 personal. But they need to try everything. Id even place Pryor as an extra blocker. But a simplified blocking scheme would help. Hit the man in front of you. Also use Herbert & Roshan more. Stop the Travis Homer experiment for the love of God!!!! Also scouts better get out there identifying IOL draft prospects.

  4. The Bears didn't bring anyone in for Workouts; that tells me 2 things. 1. They think the Titans and Texans have 2 of the Best DLines in the NFL and the OLine should be Good for the Next 3 – 5 Games against Sub Par DLines. 2. They will wait til week 4 or 5 to make a Move.

  5. Chris Morgan seems to be the problem. Not only have the o-line declined, but several guys who left are remarkably better. Whitehair, Lucas, Mustipher. I'm sure there is others.

  6. Bring in Mason Cole. Not sure if Poles have a clue on offensive linemen. And there is no cohesion between the quarterback and his receivers. And most of the line does not even know what they are doing, so clueless. The line was a disaster when it was first put together. Signing backups who barely can make the field are backups for a reason.

  7. Main problems, poor play calling/predictability Too much shotgun. Too little Herbert and downhill runs. And sadly CW long ball accuracy with receivers and not on same page. Probably misses Allen a lot too?
All to be expected this early with basically new everything on offense.
    Still hopeful

  8. Pipe this: I have a question?
Who’s in charge of the Bears?
    Eberflus.
    Then, I blame him.
There are success templates in place. The NFL isn’t brand new. Pick a template and make it happen.
He has 57 Super Bowl winners to reference.

  9. get more basic in your attack. More double Te to slow up that rush and make sure we're attacking down the field. Just need to get that time to push the ball down the field. Between scheme and personal they need to be better. I expect them to figure some things out over the next few games.

  10. Time will tell, I strongly believe that drafting a wide receiver over an offensive lineman, and this year's draft was a big mistake by the GM! Looks like we’re gonna have another mediocre season.😢

  11. It takes time to build a cohesive OL.. several years of top 100 draft picks. Good OL players rarely become available in free agency and very few OG/C are drafted in the first 3 rounds (average maybe 8-10 per draft). Poles has drafted 2 top 100 OL players in his three years (Wright and Kiran A). He inherited one in Teven Jenkins who is injury prone. In order to fix the line he needs to focus on at least two high quality OL players in the first two rounds this year perhaps a combination of (Ratledge, Booker and Brailsford).
