  1. Ugh… and the Oilers get gambling. Love Oreos and Milk as a whole thing. Not the healthiest but it’s fun and doesn’t destroy entire families. 😂

  2. I’d be much more tolerant of advertising on helmets/jerseys if it was fun like Oreos, lucky Charms, Pringles, Doritos or Priority Waste Management…

  3. I heard that Royale toilet paper (the one with the kittens) wanted that spot, but the team said no because they didn’t want anything softer than Mitch Marner associated with their uniform.

  4. As someone who’s favourite movie is the Mighty Ducks, please tell me we will have an Oreo line on the leafs.

  5. Oreos make me feel sick, like most junk food does, so it’s pretty fitting they’re sponsoring the Leafs, who also remind me of vomit.

  6. Clever, but they’re still ads… nothing more than paid placement slapped onto our previously sacred hockey jerseys/uniforms. Two and counting, in fact.

It’d be one thing if the added revenue was passed on to the fans in some small way (i.e., lower tickets prices, or at least stable ticket prices, etc.). But it never is, in any way whatsoever. Fans always lose here; we never gain.

And now they’re realizing they can make us like it, too. “Look! Milk and cookies! Cool!”

Great. Maybe next season they can get even more clever(!) and squeeze four fucking ads on those uniforms. Can’t wait! Hope the ads are funny!

Those Leafs jerseys spent over 100 years in beautiful, ad-free existence. Now, “to make ends meet,” the owners/league say they must use them as a vessel to sell milk and cookies? Fuck that. I don’t buy it, and I don’t care about the perpetual growth model they’re chasing.

I’ll never be able to fully stomach the Nascar-ification of our sport’s beloved jerseys.

Rant over. Gonna go yell at some clouds now.

  7. Like, a limited edition Oreo? Or a seasonal Oreo that they’re gonna take off the shelf for another year?
