  1. Incredible performance all around. All i could ask for! Is literally fucking anything besides these bums

  2. I’m loving this new annual tradition of losing multiple series in September to the worst teams in baseball while “in” the playoff race.

  3. The lack of a– running game– during most of the first half of the season and Counsell’s inability to manage the bullpen during most of the season squandered a lot of talent. This team was never slow and almost always produced more runs when they included their running game.

  4. Back to back series losses to the Rockies and the A’s (at home). I’m so fucking glad we are t in the playoff hunt. This team needs a major re-tooling this off-season and it sucks that we won’t get it

  5. What an absolute failure of a season. Completely unacceptable. I bet Jed runs it back with pretty much the same roster again next year

  6. This was my first Cubs season, new fan. Bright future for sure, but we need a closer, better bullpen, and the guys we’re already paying to step up (Swanson in particular)

  7. I can’t wait to see us roll this same medoicre ass team out next year. Just competitive enough to draw fans for 3/4 of the season and get those Marquee subs.

  8. I hope CC feels responsible for us missing the postseason. He mismanaged the last game in LA, particularly the double steal in the 9th. He keeps using Smyly on an almost daily basis, despite putting him on waivers weeks ago, him loading the bases for a grand slam in Colorado, and giving up the walkoff run in extras the next day. CC also wisely put in Pearson (a notoriously bad pitcher for HRs) in a situation with no outs and the bases loaded. Then he spent 2 games (both losses) where he subbed defending player of the week Michael Busch with one of our least valuable bats (Wisdom) for at least half of the available ABs (1 of 4 on 9/14 and 2 of 4 on 9/17). That’s 4 losses in one week that can be attributed to his mismanagement
