The New Jersey Devils officially opened Training Camp today at Prudential Center with their Media Day.

Dawson Mercer was a no show as he is still without a contract.

Simon Nemec was also absent, as we all wonder what is going on with his injury.

  2. Ace, Claude Lemieux is my all time favorite Devil. He definitely belongs in the Ring of Honor if not the rafters. It would be a rollercoaster of emotion if Casey and Stillman get on that plane.

  5. Dawson likes hanging out on the milk carton during the year too. Let him hang out there. He's an RFA, he's not getting overpaid for a 33pt season where he had long stretches where he was invisible. The kid has potential but he's not William Nylander.

  7. Glad to see they finally put Timo Mier on the RIGHT side! To be honest, if Nemec and Hughes are unable to play, I would much rather see MacDermid and Kovosevich with a permanent roster spot. If you have a tough enforcer in the line every game, that'll help protect your star players.
    Yeah I agree….they gotta put Jeremy Broduer in net for at least 1 game…I would love to see another Broduer in the net…would be good foreshadowing.
