Wanted to get some good news in here; the defense has been outstanding. They will have to do some more heavy lifting as the offense gets situated but they seem to be making a statement.
Yet, the Bears defense is not considered Elite to NFL Pundits. Might not have all the sacks in the world but can force 3 pts majority of drives.
That is actually an unbelievable statistic. This is why this team should still very much be considered a playoff contender even as bad as the offense has been. If/Once the offense gets their footing (can average 21-24 points a game) this team is going to be very difficult to beat.
Also, I wonder what the longest streak is on this. I went back and looked at the 2018 Bears defense and they did not have an 8 game stretch of under 20 points allowed.
It’s actually insane how good the defense is, and if we can get something going on offense we will be a dangerous team.
Excited for Sunday and I got faith in Caleb, we just gotta give the kid some time.
It’s even more impressive when you consider how little time our offense actually spends on the field.
Now imagine if the offense could stay on the field
Much better than the 35 or so they allowed during that terrible stretch of Ls
Saw some dorks on youtube trying to say the bears defense was overrated because they gave up *17 points* to Will Levis
And we’re going to need that to continue, plus they’re going to have to score a TD or two if we’re going to win some more games.
Imagine if the Texans couldnt score from half the field. That kicker is a game changer

The only aspect of the team I was stoked off of at the beginning of the year, D/ST. Never said that before… oh wait
