Indianapolis Colts – Anthony Richardson key is yards, not percentage! Run defense must step up!

Anthony Richardson’s completion percentage not nearly as important as his yards per attempt. If completion percentage is your metric, watch Jacoby Brissett hit receivers, but score no points against the Jets.
Colts first key to beating the Bears – stop the run. Bears run game sucks – make sure that continues!

  1. Kent, you really are grumpy this beautiful Friday morning. I prefer to use Aaron Rodgers 77% completion percentage and 8 yard average. That is an example for Tony Richardson to make lay ups and long passes. That's how great passing quarterbacks play in the NFL.

  2. Qbs have won super bowls with barely a 50% comp;legion percentage….people act like the game is changed so much that teams now can stop a deep pass better than they ever were before LOL……the cover two cover 3 and all this shit has been around for 10o0 years and teams won super bowls completing 52% of their passes…….I mean give me a fucking break. But you win the SAME exact way in this league….as a TEAM…….OR you have a DOMINANT defense….OR a DOMINANT offense either way, you can win with running backs that dont average 4.4 a carry or 5 you can win with qbs that dont have qbrs of 115 or completion pct of 75% LOL……give me a fucking break…..you need to play good football. Period…

  3. Kent, you seem to have forgotten about the other QB in the game last night. Sure, Jacoby went 66% for compl %. How did the winner do? Oh yeah…. you know. He went 77.1%. Because completing passes MATTERS, whether they are 1 yard or 80 yard passes. And continuing to have the WORST QB for completion % in the NFL is ONE reason why the Colts have zero wins. Just look at 2023…. the top 5 teams in wins had QBs that averaged 68.1% comp %, while the bottom 5 teams in wins averaged 62.4%. And 62.4% is a helluva lot more than AR's mediocre 49%. AR has a LOT of work to do, just to rise to the level of the worst teams from last season. God help the Colts, since they don't seem able to help themselves this year. Ignoring a major source of their problems isn't going to change their fortunes.

  4. Ok, but iu has never had a weaker schedule. The worse ucla team of all time, some flordia school and a Charlotte team that is barely a d1 program. Purdue woukd be 3-0 too with that schedule, and they absolutely suck.

  5. As a Charlotte student who attended the game vs gardner-webb you got this in the bag, they made a miraculous comeback that will never be replicated after benching the first string qb who had two fumbles from sacks in the first half, GG.

  6. I really hope the Colts can pull out a win this week. If the defense comes out in the same 4-2-6 cover 2, every play again, they'll make Caleb Williams look like the rookie of the year. But, hopefully, Gus changes some things around. Plus, having Blackmon back will help. Also, with AR's favorite weapon back, it could help this offense move the ball a little easier. Go Colts! Beat the Bears and get a win!
