  1. No reason why Soto should be playing tonight regardless after taking that hit. Let him rest a night or 2

  2. No. Not FUCK. When he went down and couldn’t get up I thought he might be down for the year and we would be done.

Bruise. No break. No further testing. Rest him against the A’s. Hell be fine.

  3. If the tests are negative sure let him rest and ice it. We need him for October and I know the division race is tight but we are already in the playoffs and Soto being healthy is way more important than weird seeding

  4. Tbh, I was surprised he was even in the lineup lol. It’s gonna hurt for a few days but he’ll be ok.

  5. 162 games in a season, 27 outs per game. 4,374 outs in a season. 1/4372 = .02% of the season’s outs….yeah you have to let that ball drop and not make a play on it.

  6. I, for one, would like them to do additional testing. I don’t wanna hear that his October 10th contrast MRI revealed slight ligament damage that could’ve healed with 3 weeks of rest.

  7. 100% the right move to rest him. If we can’t beat the As in mid September without Soto, just move the team to Montreal.
