  1. I feel sorry for the Cub fans in attendance today. At least Wisdom got us on the board and broke up the no-no. Getting no hit by the Nats would be adding insult to injury as we once again wind down a season where we won’t be playing in October.

Another bright spot was Wesneski looking sharp. That’s about it.

  2. Some positive thoughts… Glad we didn’t get no hit. Glad Kyle got to pitch as a Cub in Wrigley on a beautiful day – last time, possibly. Glad I wasn’t raised to be a White Sox fan because as underperforming as the Cubs are, thank goodness we don’t stink THAT bad!

  3. Even if we win the rest of the season we can only get 85 wins, that’s not good enough for the 3rd WC

  4. Well, we took 5 of the season’s 6 games from the Nats and I got to use two of my Hank Hill Cubs memes, so there’s that.

  5. Will they get the game in tomorrow? Looks like rain. I have tickets, just wondering what they’d do in the event it does get rained out. Would they even try to get this game in this year?

  6. officially stopped following the Cubs this year as of last night; glad I wasn’t listening to be disappointed

  7. The Cubs scored one run total in the two games I attended in person this year. Sorry guys, I’m the problem.

  8. Today was officially the last loss the Cubs could have and technically still make the playoffs. There are 7 games left and they are 6 behind with Mets and Braves both having tie breaker over the Cubs. Cubs have to go 7-0 and Mets have to go 0-7 and Braves could only win 3 if my math is right. Another season close but so far away. Gotta win 1 run games. Can’t blow 24 saves.

  9. I wonder what the Cub record is for games being held to less than 5 hits in a season. This Cub team must be near the top of that list.
