4. If I recall correctly, the Habs passed on Mitchkov because of character issues Ivan Demidov was complete opposite which is why he will be a Habs

6. Great to see people jumping on the Kapanen bandwagon. Seeing him play at least 15 times live including at the IIHF he is the real deal. IMO let him play in Timra this season and then he will easily be 3C on Habs with Dvorak and Evans (both UFAs) away.

9. I will take Demidov in my keeper’s league this year and I already have Michkov, I’m pump!! I’m alright with Reinbacher, I think he will be a great shutdown D for us, but I would have love to see Demidov and Michkov on the same line, would have been 🔥🔥🔥

12. If kapanen doesn't make the top 9 he'll get sent back, top line center/pp/pk time as a top player in the SHL could be to good a development opportunity to pass up given he would enter next year on year one of his 3 year entry deal ready to make an impact

17. Like the optimism and for good reason. Top prospects stood out in the rookie showcase games. Demidov showing his elite skills in the KHL First day of camp and you see the competition is already intensifying for roles on the team. Young guys serving notice that they are here to compete. Just what you want to see. Know it will make trading veterans easier if you know you have the solid replacement in house. KH is crafty and he probably has already been in discussions of interest with other teams. He will pull all the levers to make the best deal for the Habs going forward. Especially if they feel prospects are ready to make the jump to the NHL. Looks like he is going to be a busy guy.

22. I'm 44 years old and I never saw a talended young gun like Demidov playing for the Bleu-Blanc-Rouge. Not one come close, not even Stéphane Richer.

    To have saw Crosby, Gagné, Radulov, Forsberg… and alot of insane players junior players in Colisée of Québec… or Pro.

    I know it might be huge to compare him to them… But for me Demidov look kike a young Marcus Naslund with the awerness of Crosby…

    Imho Demidov is going to be insane with MTL. And their will be planty of good youngster Habs to support him (Slavkovski, Suzuki, Hudson, Mailloux, etc)

I was about to let myself get as excited as Josh on Ivan's truly superb 4 points night but then I remembered Sochi holds the record for being the very worst defense in the history of the KHL (an abysmal record they established in 2023 and equalled last season), so i'm managing to keep this under control. For Now.
    He is gaining in confidence game after game, is already able to setup goals to more players than Kuznetsov and Denudov who are with him on this line. It's amazing how fast he is adapting to this league.

39. Demidov..is only 18 yrs. Old !! He is scoring against MEN …in a pro league !! He should be ready next year to join the HABS and shine.!
