This scramble isn’t getting the love it deserves

Absolutely insane athleticism on display here when the pocket crumbles and no one is open.

  1. Nix was the top dual threat QB prospect coming out of high school. This type of stuff is going to be the norm for a while. I’m also glad that through 3 games he’s shown that he can run and not take hits

  2. One of the most important traits is having eyes in the back of your head. That should have been a fumble with the guy coming in from behind

  3. I thought the announcers did a pretty good job of giving him praise on that play. I really like how he “felt” the pressure and dipped out. Russ would have been cooked on that play!

  4. Couple of things that I loved seeing on this play.

First: Look at Nix as he takes the snap, in a split second he looks left, sees the outside rush and immediately shifts away from it. Now what I need to know, did he know in that split second that Bolles was beat? And if so, did he fake throw knowing the pressure was going to take the bait because of it? If so, holy shit what a play.

Second: After the missed sack, look at the heads up plays from the belly and Wattengerg to identify unblocked guys and how quickly they knocked them down. Beautiful hustle

  5. Nix is showing some good things!

Just need that first TD pass to get that out of the way!

    Then he will COOK!!!

  6. If there is one trait Bo has shown, that none of our recent QBs have (since Peyton), is a real true sense of pressure. He seems to have that extra clock and awareness to either bail on a play or try and make things happen with his feet. That is a legitimately hard thing for a lot of QBs to grasp and even vets like Russ can struggle to even understand it.

  7. Nearly had a heart attack when I saw the rush coming. Great awareness to tuck and run for the first here.

  8. To me this was the best play of the game. I was 100% convinced he was about to get sacked and fumble the ball. It was like watching Mahomes run from a guaranteed sack from Von Miller the first time we played him in 2017.

  9. This play was MASSIVE. I was looking for it on r/NFL, and it was buried behind a tweet instead of those nice gifs. Naturally not many will see this play but to me it showed Bo has potential to at least be above average in this league. You don’t see many QBs do that stuff.

  10. It’s funny because last game I got downvoted quite a bit for saying that he was giving himself up too early, but it looks like maybe he or someone on the staff noticed that too. Great run imo.

  11. My roommate and I rewinded (rewound?) the game twice just to go back and watch this again. Was awesome and honestly was his most impressive play yesterday in our opinion.

  12. That was the exact play I got kicked out of the Bucs section on. All their fans really didn’t like me saying the bucs D are a bunch of pussies who can’t tackle. Jokes on them tho bc they reseated me in the 100 section 😂
