[Kawahara] Yordan Alvarez is having an MRI on his right knee this afternoon. He had an X-ray yesterday that showed inflammation, Joe Espada said. Espada said Alvarez was sore this morning but the Astros were planning to get the MRI regardless.

From “Dodged a bullet” to MRI.
The obfuscation continues
His patella actually disintegrated
X-ray showing inflammation isn’t good at all.
Oh no
GG
Welp just gonna take this, as his leg is needing to be amputated.
So when does the leg get amputated?
he’ll probably just need a few days off
Okay, I’ll hold off on the obituary until I hear more on the MRI results.
Yea I saw Espada explaining the nonsense and they’re holding out on announcing bad news regarding yordan
YORDAN TAKE MY KNEE
“So, the leg actually fell off”
And no matter what he’s out at least three weeks
I know he injured his knee on a slide.
But can the Astros please just make Yordan the full time DH?
Him being out on the field gives him more opportunities to injure those knees of his.
Soreness and inflammation with the knee sounds like a long term recovery.

Live look at the Astros medical staff
At least Tucker is back….. we survived without Tucker, we can survive without Yordan.
Inflammation showing on an X-ray isn’t something you want to hear if you’re hoping to have Yordan available for the playoffs.
Only one thing to do now… go win the got damn Championship for Yordan 🤘
I’m just gonna hope somethings a bit swollen and will be manageable with rest and a couple steroid shots. Maybe some prednisone or something.
Depending on the severity, he may still be able to DH through a minor structural injury. I’d still take a hobbled Yordan over most in our lineup. Or heck even if he’s available as just a pinch hitter, that could be very valuable
You can’t see inflammation on an X-Ray? The hell?
If something is seriously damaged he needs to see a specialist not associated with this abysmal medical staff because it’ll turn into a 2 year rehab process
