2. My biggest question for Rick on defense is how does he balance our offense with defensive improvements. Due to how we play, we naturally do some things that just aren’t conducive to playing good D. Like teams are going to get more opportunities to score against us because of the pace. We also like to run, so guys are leaking out and that takes away from our rebounding presence. But those aren’t things we can necessarily sacrifice. Rick can affect it with big picture stuff like changing the run to rim philosophy but this is going to be largely on the players.

   It starts with Tyrese imo. He’s the one weak link in the starting line up and I think opponents get confidence from that. If he can be consistent with the flashes he’s shown, everyone else gets that much better on not covering for him.

3. Oh goodness here we go. Now If the fever win game 2 it was because so and so was injured and they should have won and it doesn't really mean anything since the opposing team was missing so and so because of injury.

   But when the Pacers were missing first team all rookie Ben Mathurin and 3rd team all NBA and Olympian Haliburton against the Celtics no one from national sports media even mentioned it or implied it as A reason they were swept by Boston. Instead Boston was lauded as being great and Jrue Holiday given his flowers even though He HACKED and bumped Nembhardt on the final possession clear as day.

   But since it was Boston it was lauded as great defense. If the players were reversed the whistle would have been blown immediately and the entire sports national media would have cried foul that the whistle wasn't blown.

   When Pacers win its because opposing players were banged up and injured. When Pacers players are hurt they lost because of how great the opposing team was. The player hurt doesn't even get mentioned at all.

   The pregame 7 of the knicks series the pre game crew was acting like it was a foregone conclusion that the knicks would win. EVERY knicks player that was hurt got mentioned. Literally not ONCE until game 7 did anyone mention Mathurin's injury. And when Bob Meyers FINALLY said Mathurin's name that pre game 7 show not one person acknowledged it or said anything literally at all about it.

   Literally not one opposing fan base fan used Tyrese and Mathurin's injury as to why Pacers lost series. But if Pacers would have won it'd been because Celtics were missing Porzingis.

   I one million percent guarantee You that'd been the narrative.
