For some reason today I remembered people were comparing Adley to William for best catcher early on in the season with plenty pushing the envelope for Adley (not in this sub more on a national scale) so I decided to look at the numbers now and holy hell.

These are career numbers and Contreras debuted in 2020.
Adley has been downright absent offensively for the last couple months. He’s a great defensive catcher and remains in the lineup for obvious reasons, but it’s almost as if he’s battling an injury that has significantly affected him at the plate.
It wrecks my brain to think Contreras swiped 7 bags this year, good on him
