  1. On March 12th, 2023, the Rams agreed to trade CB Jalen Ramsey to the Dolphins in exchange for the 77th overall pick in the 2023 draft and TE Hunter Long.

With the 77th pick, the Rams selected OLB Byron Young. This past Sunday, he made all the difference.

  2. I mean I certainly wish he was still in our team, but we couldn’t afford him so to get Byron Young for him on a rookie contract is a decent trade overall.

  3. In hindsight, Byron Young was a steal. But we desperately need a CB that can make a tackle and we haven’t had one since Ramsey.

  4. Even though I’m happy with Bryon Young, I think it’s the worst trade of the Les/Sean era value wise. A 3rd + Hunter Long for a top corner under 30 is still too much to stomach.

  5. Honestly based on the state of our secondary Jalen helps this team much more than Young. But Young could potentially be a a good pass rusher for us if he continues to develop which is extremely valuable.

  6. Still hate it. Hitting on the pick doesn’t make a third rounder a good return on an all-pro talent.

  7. I don’t mind it but I still think we under value our players. The Steelers got a 2nd for a bad WR, we got a 3rd for the best CB in the league.

  8. BY is laying the foundation for LBs when Rams typically don’t give a shit about the position.

That said, we may need to grab another physical DB soon to help out.

  9. I still have my number 5 Jersey, but it was the right move at the time since we needed to start to reload.

  10. Didn’t like it, especially since the return was so little. If they had gotten back an early 2nd round pick, that would’ve been a better trade.

  11. I understand it financially, but our defense is missing that type of intense, intimidating mentality that ramsey brought.

  12. Long time Dolphins fan here: I liked Ramsey on the Rams and I’ve mostly liked Ramsey on the Dolphins, but he’s not worth his current contract. He’s a great player but I don’t think spending top dollar on CBs is wise. Also, the decline is coming.

  13. In week 3 against the 49ers, Hunter Long posted an overall PFF grade of 79.3. Long excelled as a blocker in the run game with a grade of 85.2.
