Oliver Kapanen will STEAL a Spot on the Montreal Canadiens

I created this video to show that Oliver Kapanen made a huge statement in yesterday’s pre season 5-0 win. Kapanen had 2 great assists to set up 2 goals for his line. He had a great overall 2 way performance. Kapanen showed that he would be more than capable to be the Montréal Canadiens 3rd line centre this season. I predict that Oliver Kapanen is going to make the Montréal Canadiens opening night roster.

  1. Plays like his older brother Kasperi, good speed, hard on puck battles, great sick handling and shot. Really hope he keeps playing like this and finds his way on the team. Surely he will be better then Pezzetta, and probably out play vets like Anderson, Gally, and Dvorak.

  2. Some "experts" are saying to keep him and put him on the fourth line. This kid is way too talented to put on a fourth line. He's a third line center minimum. Give him some talented players and he will make miracles. Kapanen hockey IQ is way too high to play on a fourth line with checkers and grinders. I see him with fellow bro Armia and Anderson/Roy/Gallagher on the third.

  3. It's just a feeling, I think Montreal and media definitely underestimate this ultimate player… I don't see any praise for him, especially when St Louis was asked about is Elite performance… Kapanen is overdue READY

    Dead wood status quo centers:
    ● Dvorak (Good in the room, that's it) (Injury proned)
    ● Evans (Trade block) (Injury proned)

    Overestimated centers
    ● Dach (Injury proned) Very hard to trade….

    Potable centers
    ● Newhook (Unecessary acquisition)

    Elite Centers
    ● Suzuki 👍
    ● Demidov✨️
    ● Kapanen🪄

    Note: Laine (Unecessary acquisition)

  4. I really hope for him that he gets his spot, but there is a problem:

    Caufield – Suzuki – Slaf
    Dach – Newhook – Laine
    Roy – Dvorak – Gally
    Armia – ? – Anderson

There are many other promising players that are knocking for the same available position (Beck and Farrel). Once Dvorak, Gally and Anderson are finally gone, then maybe we could have space somewhere for him, but I feel like even if he shows up big, he's still behind in the list.
