  1. He was good in the summer league but a bit of a black hole on offense. He was looking for his own 100% of the time trying to get a roster spot. I realize this doesn’t guarantee him anything.

I’d still prefer Plowden over him.

  2. Knox is long and athletic.. if he can defend and hit open 3s, kerr will love him. Our roster is so guard heavy. We need more forwards/centers.

  3. As an also Knick fan… NO NO NO. Low IQ, just going to rot at the end of the bench. I would rather find a vet that doesn’t play but will help motivate the young fellas. Someone like Taj Gibson or DRose comes to mind. I would love to see GUI take a step forward this year

  4. Fucking Kerr and his love of vets strikes again. Plowden is a better player option, this dudes a stiff.

  5. I hate when they don’t report the “non-guaranteed” part to make it seem like more of a signing than it is.

He’ll be competing for a roster spot, he won’t necessarily be on the team. Having watched Knox in the past I hope he doesn’t end up on the roster come opening night.

  6. I’m surprised honestly. He did not look that good on summer league to me.

I will say that in SL he did look like he was humbled and ready to buy into any role. He was hustling for every board and defensively. Maybe he can be useful as a lockdown type of player. He’s super athletic and his defensive instincts are okay, his motor also seemed much improved.

However, all the motor in the world still hasn’t given him an offensive IQ. Although he seemed willing to pass he was just super slow to make reads, and despite an ability to get to the rim, he never kicks the ball out and his zero touch at the rim. To be effective on offense he needs to play the dunker spot role, and we have too many guys who need to do that.

Plowden was much better, also I had a lot more interest in Ethan Thompson who although inefficient had good (fast) decision making skills and played great defense.
