Three is a Magic Number | Royals Blank Nationals 3-0
The Royals looked to build momentum following their series-opening win in D.C. and received another shut-down performance from the pitching staff. Michael Lorenzen returned from the injured list to start the game before turning things over to bullpen and the combined efforts of Daniel Lynch, Angel Zerpa, John Schreiber, and Lucas Erceg who ran the Royals scoreless inning streak to a franchise-best 26 innings dating back to September 22. With the bats the Royals received clutch RBI hits from Michael Massey and Robbie Grossman to do the damage they needed on the scoreboard to secure the series with a 3-0 win and set up an opportunity to sweep in the finale.
