I mean when you’ve got a receiver as good as Justin Jefferson that’ll happen /s
I hope he works it out 1) because I’m a Niner fan and want the players to play well, and 2) because I’m not that big of a hater.
However, dude deserves valid criticisms for *how he handled* the holdout. He deliberately skipped camp cause he wanted more money but ended up accepting the deal he got a month prior (he even admitted to making it more difficult than necessary). So without having a training camp he’s rusty as fuck (so is Trent), and the team is suffering for it.
I hope and believe these guys will work it out and be big factors to the team, but my god it’s annoying to see this as fans.

Doubt it. He’s rusty from holding out. Prob a step slow, still not in top shape and we’ve seen him drop some balls. I think he’ll come back around in the next 2-3 weeks. But none of this should be surprising considering past holdouts had down years.

No CMC, Deebo and Kittle are banged up so things will be tougher. Also if our OL can’t block for long it hurts Aiyuk the most since his aDoT is by far the highest on the team.
I think if he own up to his shitty play instead of making excuses fan would be more accepting or understandable. Of course teams are going to improve their scheme against a player.

Of course they are. Whenever someone has a breakout, you watch film on why it’s happening and adjust your plans to stop it.
If a team stopped them. The copy cat league takes notice and might apply some of what worked to their scheme against them.
If you read the article you’ll see that Purdy says they’re coming up with new schemes to get him open because defenses adjusted this year. Which makes missing training camp a bigger deal since last years schemes arent working
Yes, BA needs to put in more work and looked like ass and out of game shape. We all know this. He’s so far proven he’s a scheme wr and not that dude at the moment

He has the most separation per route in the entire league, not sure that’s defenses scheming him different more so he’s just not schemed as the first option because of his holdout missing camp and also his brick hands so far this season
