  1. Washington in the LA Times Article from yesterday:

    > Look at what we had to go through this last month, up until today, we lost everybody,” Washington said. “We’re out there with triple-A players. We are out there with players who don’t have anybody to take over. We got to recognize that, so you don’t get upset or frustrated, and I’m not frustrated.

    and

    > We’re going to get some baseball players who may not be superstars, but they know how to play,” Washington said. “We forgot to bring real baseball players into the organization. Nothing against those guys here, but they’re not big-league baseball players and they certainly can’t help us win a championship.

He sees it too. Shout out Arte.

  2. 7-0….. to the fucking white sox.

Well now that that wall punching series is over. I’m gonna go support the Oakland fans. Final game in the coliseum.

  3. This series went downhill after that Jack Lopez blunder. I will be so disappointed if there aren’t any “Sell the Team” chants this weekend after this horrible sweep and setting the franchise losses record.

  4. This is sooo Angels! They told the White Sox, let us celebrate OUR own record of futility first! 😝

  5. That Angels franchise is the biggest joke in pro sports now, unless the Jets go and suck it up yet again this year. No idea how you all can still be fans, especially when the owner simply doesn’t give a rip. How do you not see he is virtually kicking you in the crotch and why keep asking for more? Tell him to go F himself instead of enabling it.

Loyalty and the “home town team” silliness should only go so far.

  6. Idk why y’all are taking this series so seriously. After it’s announced that we are out of the playoffs, that should bring everyone’s guard/criticism down by ALOT. We are just here to enjoy some Angels baseball for the last week of the season!

  7. So many folks suffering and getting depressed in here. But I wouldn’t have had it any other way. Now we can finally say that Arte presided over the worst Angels team in franchise history and it happened in epic fashion.

If anything, I would’ve been disappointed if the White Sox weren’t the ones to hand the Angels their single-season loss record. But hey, at least they didn’t get to 100 losses. Right?

  8. Didn’t wanna be known as the owner who traded away Shohei. I guess being known as the owner who let him walk for free and oversaw the worst season in franchise history is better!

Surely he hears the noise. He can only stay in hiding for so long.

  9. Why in the fuck did my father choose this team? We live in Utah He had pick of the litter he could have picked any team God damn child abuse

  10. So is this rock bottom? The literal homeless A’s having a better record and getting swept by the White Sox?

  11. Being swept by the 2024 white Sox is a feat only one other team endured. (Tampa Bay, April 26-28)
